Through counselling you can gain a better understanding of yourself, your situation and your relationships. I am passionate about helping people overcome difficulties that may prevent them realising their potential and living life to the full.
I believe everyone has their own individual and unique view of the world and I aim to help my clients explore this perspective in a non judgmental, confidential and compassionate way.
Being a ‘person centered’ counsellor means I can provide clients with an opportunity to develop a ‘sense of self’; supporting them to recognise their own attitudes, feelings and behaviour, helping them to find their true positive ‘self’ and reach their full potential.
I do this by creating a warm, non-judgmental environment; communicating empathy, congruence (genuineness), and unconditional positive regard towards my clients. This non-directive approach enables my clients to find their own solutions to their problems and concerns without being given advice or told how to be or what to do.
Working with me, I trust that you will feel heard and safe and able to identify any difficult issues that you are currently experiencing. I will encourage you to speak honestly and openly, giving you the space to achieve a true understanding of yourself.
